Mohamed Salah's heated exchange with the Eugen Club last weekend

left many questioning whether the forward would join his manager in leaving Liverpool

this summer.

Then as the Athletic revealed on Monday, Liverpool expects Sala to stay this summer and are

planning on him being part of their squad next season?

So with his future back on the agenda, what are Liverpool's options with or without their iconic

forward?

So David, let's start with you on this one. You broke the news on Sala on Monday that he's expected to stay at Liverpool next season. We'll touch base on the Saudi conversation a little later on in the pod. So bring us up

to speed us to where the story is today. Yeah, the most important thing to say is that Liverpool

fully expect Mo Sala to stay this summer and to the extent that they are planning with him

as being a key part of their squad still for next season and potentially even beyond. The

beyond bit we can come on to speak about in due course. Furthermore, there has been zero indication from Mo Sala that he intends to leave.

Nothing at all.

To the contrary, he appears to Liverpool to be fully committed to them.

And this new era, which sees Juergen Klopp, replaced imminently by Arna Slott,

that sees Michael Edwards arrive as CEO of football to Fenway Sports Group,

that sees Richard Hughes start in the summer as the new sporting director.

And I'm sure there'll be more changes on the playing side too.
