The race is on, and what at one stage looks to be a first victory for George Russell

turned into a maiden triumph for Sergio Perez in a remarkable Secre Grand Prix.

And it's a weekend that could have a big impact on the driver market landscape over the next 18 months.

Well, Mark, first wins are always special to witness, aren't they?

It was one of those days when I guess it's even more of a pleasure than usual to be in this line of work.

It was his sort of built up the whole weekend.

As soon as we got news that George would be replaced in Lewis in that car, the excitement just built and built and built.

And every step he made, every sort of bridge that he crossed you thought

blamie this really could be something special and it carried carried through all the way into

the race and at one stage he had a he had a very handy lead and it looked like it couldn't really go wrong and at one stage he was

thinking this is too good to be true and yeah it turned out that it was but um if if somebody was

going to pick up the pieces it was nice that it was checo um because for all the reasons that we will we've talked

about all the year really for most of the year since it's been apparent that there was no place

there for him next year so he's performing at a very high level he did a stupendous race today

and yeah it was I more, I'm delighted for

Checo, but I'm more gutted for George than I'm delighted for Checo. Yeah, it's going to be

remembered for those, those two reasons for a very, very long time. And Scots, I remember you a few
