It is ultimately up to us, just us, to decide how we are going to respond to what is occurring

in our lives and what we're going to bring to the situation and sage and I both believe

and I'm sure you, Raquel and I'm sure your audience believes that what you bring to the

situation is what you end up experiencing in life or what you become like in harmony

with or in alignment with and how do I been able to rely on solutions outside of myself.

I don't know that I would have had quite the spiritual connection to God and to myself

that I do now.

And he said sooner or later I'm going to have to move on from this or it's going to

kill me.

It's going to be the death of me.

I'm just choosing sooner and I remembered that story and thought I can choose sooner now

and I can choose joy now and it doesn't mean that I choose that and I never look back

and it doesn't mean that I don't also feel the grief but it just for me was permission

that I could start to choose a different way.

You know, this idea that it's a choice what we've been talking about a lot this whole

time and recognizing that in that moment was a big moment for me and I think it can

apply to so many things not just when you lose somebody you can choose sooner there's

no prescription for how long you have to say stuff.

My dad always used to say you're only stuck if you choose to be so it was a big moment

for me.
