legacy for the church and for us. I'm Dr. Carl Venerstrom, and I'm joined today by Dr. Elizabeth

Klein to talk about Saints Cyril in Methodius, beloved Saints to the Slavs. That's right. And

others. So I'm really glad to have you with me here today, Liz.

Before we jump into St. Cyril and Methodius, could you tell me a little bit how saints come up into your

teaching here at the Gusson Institute? Oh, sure. I mean,

whenever I can fit them in. Yeah. What about you teach a class in the graduate school called

Mystigoji? Did the saints come into the picture there? Cyril and Methodius would highly

approve of Mysticoggi. So Mysticogi is a course on the sacraments, but emphasizing sort of the scriptural mysteries that the sacraments invite us into.

And so for that class in particular, I have a whole session, for example, on the fathers of the church on the Eucharist and how they taught the Eucharist.

But I definitely have a lot of patristic homilies and stuff that come up.

Yeah, that's beautiful.

They're a rich resource for...

For sure.

And then it means I don't have to teach it.

I just read that.

That's the best way to teach.

This is what Augustine recommends.

He's like, oh, if you're not going to preach and just read someone else's.

So I take him up on it.
