In honor of his feast day this week,

we will hear the story of St. Patrick.

Some of you might know him as the patron saint of Ireland,

and we often celebrate by wearing green. But did you know that

Patrick wasn't originally from Ireland? He was born and raised in Scotland and though

he believed in God his faith wasn't a prominent part of his life until he desperately needed it. His story starts just off the coast of the city of Benaventa in Scotland.

Patrick was 16 years old and lay asleep in his bed, unaware his life was about to change, forever.
