This is Holy Family School of Faith.

So we are going to meditate on a very important teaching from John Paul II during our ro, during our Rosary today.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit.

Let's call the mind all those we've promised to pray for. I want to give a special shout out in this Rosary to

the grandkids of Mary Ann Rose, Peter, and Margaret, and also to someone's special mom named Ruth.

So hopefully they'll be enjoying this Rosary with us.

There's a great book written by Jason Everett called St. John Paul

the Great and his five loves. I really encourage you to get this and meditate

upon it. Very beautiful. There he recounts that after

celebrating Mass with the Holy Father in his private chapel, a priest from Michigan had a brief opportunity to meet the of

a priest from Michigan had a brief opportunity to meet the Pope. The priest had a broken leg and stood on crutches

as Pope John Paul approached him in the receiving line of guests.

He said to the Pope with a twinge of humor and self-pity,

I broke my leg.

Can I please have your blessing?

The Holy Father raised his hand, blessed the priest, and then with an open palm thumb thumbed

the priest on the head. We too often waste our sufferings and need to be thumped

on the head because they are the most powerful means to empty us of our disordered desires

and to do the greatest good for the world and others if we know how to accept them with trust and unite them to the cross of Jesus.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallow it be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and her given starts as we forgive those who dress pass against us and lead us not into temptation.
