With a country divided, the Republican risk and morality being redefined, it's time to get around the campfire, get back to basics, and spark the revival that this country so desperately needs.

This is the American Campfire Revival with Cook Cameron.

We talked about the fact that, I think the way that I had phrased it was that God is not safe, but he's good.

And that really comes from that movie, The Chronicles of Narnia, or the book The Chronicles of Narnia,

where Mr. Beaver is talking with Susan explaining that the king, Aslan, is not safe, but he's good.

And God is like that.

The Bible tells us that God, while we'd like to think of him as safe, he is also called a

consuming fire.

It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Why?

Because he's holy.

Because he's sovereign.

And any kind of evil, any darkness in the presence of a holy God, like a consuming fire, will just, we'll just consume

it. And so the beautiful thing about God is that he's good and he's gracious and he's kind.

He is made a way for us to come to him. And when we come to him in faith, he changes our heart. He transforms us into

new creatures and we can be in his presence and we're friends with the author of life. We're sons and

daughters of the king and we are secure in his grip of grace. That is so much better than circumstantial safety.

This idea of safety is really, it's a myth.

Nobody can promise you and me safety because God's not given us a safe world.

It's really a dangerous world.

We talked about gravity.

While it's everywhere, it can kill us. if I step off of the roof of a house or off of a building.
