Make it down I'm thinking back. This is hell. And we are back manufacturing descent since 1996.

This is hell when it comes to police abolition as a past guest here on this is hell

Miriam Caba has said yes we mean literally abolish the police for a lot of

people the idea can be frightening,

very scary, believing that abolition is about nothing

but abolishing, nothing but erasing and leaving nothing but

a vacuum in its wake.

But that's not all that abolitionism is. Abolition is as much the

tearing down of a brutal and cruel system that is founded and grounded in slavery

as it is about the reconstruction of a new system that is based on

equality and radical democracy.

In the case of the police, it's about ending policing as we know it in creating an alternative process for public safety and

protection one that actually keeps the public safe and protected a new

system that is not only about enforcing the law, but is also about actual justice, a system that offers

no one impunity from the law that holds nobody above the law and applies true justice equally and democratically to all and

none of what I just said applies to how today's police go about their policing.
