As we begin today's guided prayer, take just a moment.

Maybe take a few deep breaths.

Allow yourself the space, the time to connect with Jesus. He loves you so much. He cares for you so deeply.

And he is right here with you in this moment. Psalm chapter 62, verse 2 declares, he alone is my safe place.

His wrap around presence always protects me, for he is my champion defender.

There's no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me,

even when my troubles multiply around me? Today, the focal point of this prayer is the reality

of the protective nature of the Savior we serve.

We know he's good.

We know he's loving.

We know he's kind.

But do you know today that he is your safe place?

That he's your champion defender, that he'll protect you.

I want you to start by repeating these affirmations after me. Say, God, you are my safe place.

God, God, you are my safe place. God, you defend me.

God, you wrap your arms around me.

God, there's no risk of failure with you.

Amazing.

Amazing to consider this mighty God that we serve.
