We've spent this last week focusing on the Lord's Prayer and every day looking at an element

where Jesus instructed us to pray. He loves us so much and he wants to connect with us on a daily

basis. And the Lord's Prayer was not meant to be words that we mindlessly repeat over and over again.

Jesus gave it to us as a pattern to follow every day.

And as you do daily guided prayers with us,

you'll notice that we follow this pattern within most of the prayers that we lead you in.

And so today, we're going to

conclude looking at the Lord's Prayer, which is a pattern that Jesus gave us to follow when we pray.

You know, Jesus wants to connect with you every day. He loves you so much that he gave us a pattern

for how to spend time with him every day.

And so today we're going to conclude the Lord's Prayer looking at Matthew chapter 6 in verse 13.

It says this, Jesus instructed us to pray and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

The first line of this prayer is this, lead us not into temptation.

Earlier we prayed a prayer of surrender that said your kingdom come and your will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.

But you know when you're in the will of God,

temptation comes? Jesus was tempted. He was the perfect man. He did nothing wrong. And temptation

came. But do you know that as you follow God and as we're in his will, we don't have to

give in to temptation. Temptation is simply

the desire to do something that is wrong, that we know would hurt ourselves or hurt others

or hurt God or any sin as God describes in his Bible. Right now, you have a moment, have an

honest conversation about temptation?
