I am really glad that you joined me today because I have something on my heart that I think is really important. I want to tell you ahead of time that you may not initially care for the subject, but if you hear me all the way to the end, you will be excited about it. I want to talk to you today about sacrifice.

And I know initially that's like, oh, probably I sacrifice enough.

I don't want to hear any more about sacrifice.

But God has called us to be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.

And in order to do that, we will have to sacrifice.

As God changes us, there will be things that we maybe like that we're going to have to let go of,

and there will be things that maybe we don't like that we'll have to take hold of.

The main reason why people don't change is because they don't want to suffer.

And I want to read you, 1 Peter 4, 1 and 2.

I think they're just really awesome.

And I want to encourage you to study these scriptures, to look at them and just study them and study them.

It says, so, since Christ suffered in the flesh, for us and for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose, patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God. So basically what this is telling me so far

is I should be mentally prepared any day to suffer if that's what it takes in order for me to

please God. Maybe I have some plans today, and God shows me that he wants me to do something else.

I have to give up my plan.

Well, that's a sacrifice, and my soul may not like it at first, but what God has planned is always going to be better than what we have planned.

For whoever has suffered in the flesh, having the mind of Christ, in other words, looking at it the right way.

Suffering always brings reward if we're doing it unto the Lord.

Is done, whoever has suffered in the flesh, having the mind of Christ, is done with
