In the scriptures we see many examples of Jesus enjoying meals with his followers and seekers alike.

One such example is the well-known Last Supper, or Lord's Supper, where Jesus shares a final meal

with the disciples before his death and resurrection.

As it turns out, the Last Supper wasn't the final time this meal was enjoyed,

but has continued for centuries since the first occurrence.

You see, as Jesus partook of this special meal with his disciples,

he told them to partake in the Lord's Supper to remember him.

In Luke 2219, it says,

And when he had taken some bread and given thanks,

he broke it and gave it to them,

saying, this is my body, which is being given for you. Do this in

remembrance of me. Jesus followers have continued to partake in the last supper and demonstrate

the remembrance of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice and new life he's given us.

We are going to do, as Jesus said, and partake of communion together.

We are so grateful for the incredible sacrifice you made, taking all of our shame upon yourself

and giving us a new life. Thank you for washing us white as snow. Thank you that through your

blood, we are forgiven of all of our sins.

When we consider what you've saved us from, we cannot help but to worship you.

You fulfill our deepest needs and desires.

You fulfill the longings that we can't even articulate.

You formed and fashioned us in our inmost being and know us better than we know ourselves.
