I want to invite you to come out and join us May 2nd, which is a week from today at Queen

of the Holy Rosary at 71st in Metcalf in Overland Park at 7 p.m. where I'll be giving a talk and then we are going to crown our lady and have a candlelight rosary procession.

People are out moving around and the best reason to come out and get together is to honor our lady.

And then put on your calendar, Pentecost, Sunday, May 23rd, because it's Day 1,000 for this Rosary podcast. A thousand in a row. And we're going to celebrate

No better reason than to get together

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Now the virtue of fortitude is to do the right thing

even when you don't want to, especially in hardship.

Fortitude enables you to overcome obstacles

and especially things that are difficult in order to do what is good.

And the primary fear which fortitude helps us overcome is the fear of death.

Fortitude is the virtue of the soldier willing to give his life to save his people.

And fortitude is the virtue of the Christian who is willing to sacrifice what is lesser

for the sake of what is greater.

And the greatest thing is union with God in heaven, which we receive in the Eucharist.
