Her eyes followed the path along the flat and up the concave wall on the other side.

When she stood at the bottom, the half pipe towered over her teeny tiny body

like an enormous wave about to crash on her head.

But Sabre wasn't scared. She'd sawed down that ramp hundreds, maybe thousands of times. And as she stood back at the top, skateboard by her side, she was ready to do it again.

Saber was determined to master one of the trickiest maneuvers in the skating world,

the 540. She had to plummet, glide, and rocket into the sky, spinning her board a full circle

and half, midair, before landing on all four wheels and rolling back to the center without falling over.

Hectic. If she did it, she'd be the first girl in Australia and only the third in the world to pull it off.

No pressure.

Sabre knew it was possible because she'd studied a clip of American pro skater, Lindsay Adams Hawkins doing it.

There was just one catch. Lynn Z was an adult and Sabre was only nine. This would be her 75th try that day. Come on
