Summary

As we celebrate what God has done in our House in the past year, we also wanted to take a moment to pause, and remember Sabbath. Since creation in Genesis 2, God created a day of rest to reflect on what He created, and He invites us to remember His power, wisdom, and faithfulness. 0:25.1	mind and that is that we lean hard into Sabbath break every single year.
0:30.8	We do that at the end of the summer season heading into the fall because we normally
0:35.5	have a big mountain to climb at the end of the year called Passion Conference and we love to stop,
0:42.4	to rest, and to remember the faithfulness of God.
0:47.0	And the way that we're doing that practically, already you're figuring that out because either you've joined us online or you're a part of our real community in DC or Atlanta and you're like hey we're not gathering on this particular Sunday or next Sunday.
1:01.0	The way that we put this together is that we are not meeting in person for two consecutive
1:08.2	Sundays so that our entire house can just pause and remember that it is God who is building our house.
1:17.7	We're going to come back to that at the very end of our time together so that we can just take
1:21.7	a deep breath and realize that yes we have a role to play
1:26.0	but everything God's wanting to do in DC in Atlanta in our cities and in the world and in our lives it's not all up to us. It's us doing our part, but the
1:39.1	work that needs to be accomplished, that's all up to the spirit of God. And I love that we see that in the very
1:47.2	opening of our story. This is Genesis chapter 2, verse 1, so we're one chapter into the story of God as it's been revealed to us in his word and it says
1:57.7	thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array and all that happened because of God by the way. We showed up in the story on the
2:08.6	sixth day of the seven days of creation and now we're to the seventh day and it says by the seventh day
2:14.9	God had finished the work that he had been doing so on the seventh day
2:19.6	he rested from all his work.
