to recognize God's steady hand in our lives.

As the year comes to a close, the anthem in our hearts remains unwavering.

Listen, he's been faithful, present, and powerful, shaping our church and transforming lives

across our community. And before we reflect on the year behind us, we want to take a moment to reflect on the gift of Sabbath.

Scripture actually gives us this beautiful reminder of where true rest is found.

I love how the psalmist writes it. Psalm 62 verses 1 through 2.

Truly, my soul finds rest in God. My salvation comes from him. Truly, he is my rock

and my salvation. He is my fortress. I will never be shaken. You know, when I read this passage,

what it does is it centers my heart. It centers your heart. Rest is not just a

pause from work, but a return to God as our source, our strength, and the one who steadies us
