Summary

There is something about the speed of modern life that is not conducive to human flourishing. Pastor Ben Stuart challenges us with the truth that rest is an act of faith — and that God has woven it into the rhythm of creation. How are you and I supposed to work? 0:18.0	Well, I'm grateful to be standing here with you today.
0:24.0	Several years ago, my wife and I were traveling over the summer.
0:28.0	I would preach at youth camps back in the day.
0:30.0	And so several years ago, I was speaking at this camp full of high school kids and we had the afternoon off when we went to a coffee shop and while we were at this coffee shop a young man stole my wife's iPhone.
0:41.0	From off the table in front of us literally just ripped her earbuds out and
0:44.8	ran out the door which was interesting because you always wonder when a moment like
0:50.0	that happens what will you do like when the crisis comes what will your
0:54.2	instinctual response be? My wife's was to yell and she yelled, get him, babe. Which at that point, what are you going to do?
1:06.0	They're like, no, I'm good.
1:07.0	So I just kicked off my flip-flops and ran out the door,
1:11.0	chase his young man. Turn the corner.
1:13.2	There was a security car right in front of us.
1:15.1	So I started yelling for security.
1:16.8	Turns out it was driven by his buddy,
1:18.3	it was their getaway car.
1:20.2	And so we ran up to it.
1:22.0	And then all in a moment moment he jumped in the car I grabbed the window and his buddy hit the gas and so we went down the road together
