Hello, and welcome to the Fighter Pilot podcast. I am your host, Vincent Ayelo.

0:08.4

Back on Episode 68, my guest shared great information on the JAS-39 Grippin, the Swedish

0:13.9

built on-year-old fighter strike and reconnaissance aircraft. But Duke's awareness on the E&F

0:18.7

models was limited because he had not flown them. So to help fill in the gaps as well as

0:23.0

update us on what's new with the latest Grippin models in the two years since that episode

0:27.3

aired, today we welcome to the show UC Palmatosja of Sab AB. Thanks for joining us, Miyagi.

0:33.9

Hey, JALO. Thank you very much for those welcoming words and the opportunity to work with you on

0:38.5

the pod. So looking forward to doing my very best to update you on all the new Grippin

0:43.7

1:14.7

husband who was a very keen military aviation enthusiast and fans. So I think it's all where

1:19.2

it really started. So after the mandatory military service, which we have in Sweden, was a year

1:24.1

and a half on the ranges up in the north. Looking at those kind of cool jets up there in the sky

1:28.8

and thinking what, why cool, that's really where I want to be. So the very next day after the service

1:34.5

ended, I traveled down to Stockholm to do their few days of tests and assessment and yeah,

1:39.2

it looked lucky enough to hang in there until the end. So I just, interesting fact here, or just

1:44.1

remember my mom's husband's words, somebody needs to fly those tests so why should not be you.

1:49.2

So that's kind of the whole philosophy I had with it. So let's go for it. Flying wise, start off
