We had a request from the mailbag a week or two ago asking about Sam DeStefano.

And I'm gonna let Pat pick it up from here

because I didn't realize myself that I met this guy years ago

with dignity. Pat.

Okay. I had only heard of Sam DeStefano.

He was an odd sort of guy in that.

He left his mark on the outfit.

He worked out of Chicago, but not too many other people know of him,

mob officials, people who like to follow the mob.

He's been dead since 1973.

But what a life this guy had. He was not well known to follow the mob. He's been dead since 1973. But what a life this guy had.

He was not well known to the general public, but his claim to fame, in addition to the other

things we'll be talking about, was he brought up Anthony Spallatro and taught Spolotro how to be an enforcer.

And we all know about Spelotro.

You know, they called him the aunt.

And he was played by Joe Pesci in Casino.

He was considered by the outfit to be genuinely crazy.

And therefore, he never got made he was with uh the outfit for many many many years but no everybody was afraid to deal with this guy
