Sometimes you meet a person and the world suddenly

you meet a person and the world suddenly looks a lot better, more hopeful, easier

to navigate.

Sometimes that person becomes so important to your life that you simply can't imagine how you existed without

them. I wanted to know everything about her. I wanted to basically be her and then

she became a friend, she became my number one person to go to for advice and she

Ray met Maria at an all-girls camp in North Carolina in 2016. Ray was 15, a young person who needed a lot of guidance.
