Summary

This week I'm joined for another brilliant episode by Bisi Alimi. Bisi is an incredible person from Nigeria. He was the first Nigerian to come out on TV, which, as you'll hear - led him to flee the country to escape violent homophobia that almost ended his life. Content warning - This episode also includes discussion about religious conversion attempts through the use of exorcism and also suicide attempts Please support Bisi Alimi Foundation - https://www.bisialimifoundation.org/ I loved hearing about their story and hope you do too. Please subscribe, rate and review. Thanks, Suzi xxx And if you want to get in touch with me on the show, here's how... email: [email protected] twitter: @outwithsuzi A 'Keep It Light Media' Production Sales, advertising and general enquiries: [email protected] Learn more about your ad choices. It is with B.C. Alimi and he is an incredible person, an activist, a public speaker,

1:19.3

he was an actor. He has done so much a charity founder and I was just blown away by spending time with him.

1:28.3

I was thrilled to be able to give him an award at the Attitude Awards,

1:32.8

Attitude Asked me if I would sort of be the presenter for one of them and when I read about BC's story I was just

I just knew that I would love to share his story on the podcast. I just want to put a slight warning at the beginning of this podcast. I think that it's really important that we hear stories like B.C. I think we need to carry on knowing that the fight for equality is still very much on. You know, we're in Pride season now in the UK and it's easy to forget
