I am your guide, Derek Hayes.

Now, as any longtime listener of this program can tell you,

one of the most enjoyable aspects of the show is its diversity

the stories range from monsters mysteries and even the spectral and supernatural the submitters

themselves are also a diverse group of people folks of all ages creedseds, backgrounds, and locations.

But beyond all those episodes, one stands out to me as possibly the best slice of paranormal pie we could carve out.

So tonight, we close the bottle on season 9 with our latest installment of Hometown Legends.

Now I have a carefully curated and tediously timed special episode oozing with great entries from all around the globe,

but a little warning before we crack the seal on tonight's programming.

Many of these hometown legends stem from violent beginnings.

So if you have kids listening or you are sensitive to descriptions of violence,

you just might want to skip this one.

And so to kick off the season finale with what is quickly becoming a hometown legend staple.

Hello Derek, this is Alan from Texas, and this is for hometown legends.

I'd also like to say hello to Addie, because she kind of prompted me to send something in this time.

This is a gruesome old ghost legend, I guess you could say, from South Texas that happened sometime in the mid-1800s.

And it concerns a couple of people who are kind of famous in Texas history.
