I'm your guide, Derek Hayes.

If you're new to the program, my name is Derek, and I collect stories about monsters and ghosts and UFOs, aliens, and practically anything considered Fortian.

And as luck would have it, tonight is no exception.

As a matter of fact, I have an eerie ensemble of encounters, perfect ingredients for an amazing episode.

To kick us off this evening, we begin in the state of Arizona.

The following was name is Joseph. I'm calling from the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Arizona. I've got several stories about hauntings that I could tell, but I'm going to only share one right now.

I found your podcast a couple weeks ago, and I've been binge listening, and just felt like

this was time to share.

Back in the 80s and 90s, we lived in a home that had quite a bit of ghost sightings in it.

And this one particular was during the summer of, I'd want to say, 1992, 1993.

I was about 10 years old.

My brother and sister, we just got a few cats.

And we were up early one morning.

And we're playing with our kittens.

And out in the living room, we could see my grandmother's old rocking chair.

And it had to have been about 5.30 in the morning.

We saw her rocking chair start moving and creaking, and it's an old antique rocking chair,

so it makes a lot of noise when someone sits in it.
