Ladies & Gents, you're in for a real treat today, as we're joined by Italian International Monty Ioane - to hear his incredible story which has taken him from growing up in Melbourne as a naughty teenager to Paris to New Zealand to Italy and then recently back to where it all began in Melbourne. His cousin Wallabies legend Digby Ioane decided to take an 18 year old Monty along with him to Stade Francais as part of his contract with the club, and opened Monty's eyes to a lifestyle of; drinking, partying, Paris's exclusive night clubs, a night in jail, a crazy story where they started to drunkenly beat up the greatest sportsman of all time in Michael Jordan and much more ridiculousness (including the greatest initiation we've ever heard of). Monty moved to NZ to change his life around and it was there where under Dave Rennie he impressed enough to get a contract to go play for Benetton in Italy. 3 years later and he was turning out for the Italians as they beat Wales and Australia in a calendar year and ended up the Six Nations as the player who made the most metres out of anyone in the comp!
