So it's been 10 years now that you first wrote and published a book called I Hope It's Not Hereditary,

The Mostly True Stories, about my father, Bob Hartley.

Was that a, like, a loving tribute to your father?

Yeah, so it's really, because when I first started writing the book, it's probably,

I went through the process of disillusionment while writing that book.

But yeah, it was very much a very affectionate ode to this

storyteller who was my father and a collection of some of his most absurd stories growing up

and retelling of those stories. But then as I kind of wrote it, I personally realized that he wasn't the man that I was talking about in those stories.
