Today, my co-host, Eve Stipes and I are unpacking a truth we've both come back to over and over again, and our prayer is that it encourages you to.

So however you're joining us today, grabbing a cup of tea, lacing up your shoes for a walk,

or grabbing cleaning supplies to tackle the hallway bathroom, we're so glad you're here.

Okay, so today's truth and verse takes me back to probably sometime in my mid-20s,

where I was working through a bunch of

life stuff, relationships, identity, a bunch of stuff like a lot of people in their 20s do.

Yeah. And I had a really incredible encounter with a couple of close friends as I was processing.

I don't remember the actual

sin, specific sin, that I was wrestling with, but I just had this overwhelming sense of shame about it.

Like, I can't believe I'm still dealing with this or I can't believe this is still happening or

why can't I just get over it? And one of my friends looked at me and said, Eve, it's just sin.

It's something that you did, but it's not who you are in Christ.

And I just remember being totally stunned to have someone just like say it to me that directly.

It's a truth that I knew that I had read about.

Like I've read this verse that we're

going to talk about today, Romans 8, about not being condemned and being free in Christ. But it was

the first time maybe that I really applied it to a specific situation in my life. And it became,

it really became such a freeing thing to remember and to be reminded of like, okay, yeah, it is sin.
