It's FA Cup weekend, but before then, we're here to review everything from the midweek game week.

0:05.7

We had benching problems. We've now got keeper conundrums. So here's one more pod before the break ahead of Game Week 30.

0:17.5

Wow, it's been a busy week, hasn't it, in the world of FPL.

0:22.3

It always is when there's midweek fixtures.

0:38.3

They're nearly finished. If you're listening to this on Friday, Saturday, or whenever you're listening, just so you know, we're in our usual Thursday morning slots. This was at Sam's request because she didn't want to wait for Spurs to take on Crystal Pallet. And for us to be able to talk about that. No, I'm joking. It's because we wanted to stay with you in our usual spot.

0:41.1

And because most of the teams have played and a lot of,

0:55.1

I mean, for us, all of our points are pretty much out, I think. So yeah, hopefully it's the same for you. If not, maybe you're hoping for a slanky brace just like Sam this evening. But yeah, let's crack on. Morning Jules, morning Sam. A bit of time to breathe with the FA Cup.

0:57.2

I'm probably sad, need that.

1:11.9

We all need a little bit of a break from FPL every so often, particularly going into, we're nearly in the running, aren't we, Jules, really? Yeah, it's very exciting in a way, both in real life for whatever is at stake in the league, but also for us, because that's where you need to push.

1:16.7

That's where you need to play your chips well, to try to climb up in all your different mini leagues and in the main league as well, I guess, and try to finish as high as possible because,

1:21.8

you know, there's, what, nine game weeks left and there will be a few blanks probably,

1:27.2

a few double. There will be a lot of things happening. So that's where you have to stay focused. Okay. Let's crack on with where we got to. Jules, I'll let you have a little bit more time to maybe process your bench. Jesus. Oh, that's how you start. Okay. No, I went in with a nice question for you. Oh, okay. We went to Spurs. No, it sounded like a massive side tackle. No, yeah. Sam, talk about your game week. Oh, I honestly couldn't be more frustrated about this. Your bench was also pretty frustrating, wouldn't it? Yeah, it was one of those where, and I was, like, on Friday, no, hang on, when was the deadline? day, when it was the deadline, I was one of those where, and I was, on Friday, no, hang on, when was the deadline? On Tuesday, when it was the deadline, I was kind of, I was back and forward all day on what to do. And the press conferences, thanks to the Premier League managers for being absolutely no help whatsoever with letting us know whether their players were going to play or not. Not that I really expecting anything different, but it was made it really difficult. So in the end, I thought, right, well, I don't know what to do, so I'm just going to roll. And the only thing I would have done is to have done Rogers to Wilson. So in the end, at least Wilson didn't play. So that was a positive thing. And I've got four transfers for next week. So we'll take some positives. The negatives were. I last minute decided that I definitely thought that Brentford were going to score a goal so Sennesse could definitely move to the bench. And I have never been such a big Brentford fan as I was towards the back end of that game, willing them to take away the ball of clean sheet because having them on the bench. And I knew it was going to be painful as well because he's the sort of player that when he hauls, you stand to gain a massive rank rise

2:57.0

from it because he's not that popular in the game. And it would have been such a difference maker.

3:01.4

So really frustrating game week. It basically wiped out most of the good stuff that happened

3:07.0

last week with my overall rank.

3:09.3

So it's just basically taking me back pre-game week 28, I suppose.

3:14.4

So that is difficult to stomach.

3:16.4

But at least my captain was right.

3:18.9

And at least spurs will cheer me up later, I hope.

3:23.2

Maybe, yes. I can feel all the tension despite being in different post-closed. Jules, come on then. So you actually, let's start this. I'll start on a more positive bit. You had a brilliant game week, let's be honest. 79 points, absolutely brilliant with Chalpe D'a and the like. But it could have been even better, couldn't it? Especially given that you've got a minus one coming off your bench. I know. Because one thing to get your team wrong in some positions, right? Because I thought Igor Tiago will face Petrovich. Let's go with the attacker and Igor Tiago. So let's bench Petrovich and start Dubrovka, really praying for a nil-neil

3:57.5

draw between Everton and Burnley, which was never going to happen, let's be honest. But still, and then put Senesi on the bench. And again, to go back to the chat that we had on the last show, why is Senesi not my first sub? I've got no idea. I didn't even look at the subs again. Matikash was there.

4:14.5

Until the first Chelsea goal when Vila won it up, I'm thinking, I've got no idea. I didn't even look at the subs again. Anyway, so Matikash was there.
