and the heat wave that is summertime, that is Christmas,

in Australia, New South Wales.

Along with all the glamour of being in Australia, and we're going to come to the big part,

the Ashes series, you get creatures that want to kill you when they're not being exotic.

And some of them are protected by law so that there's nothing you can do to defend yourself

except for run.

Jeremy, in Eastern Brown is the deadly snake.

It's what everybody worries about, including you when you cut your lawn.

Now, Eastern Browns in the heat look for a place to cool off.

Where did this particular Eastern Brown find a place to be cool?

Well, John, this particular Eastern Brown find a place to be cool? Well, John, this particular Eastern Brown here in southwestern Sydney I might add too, so my local

area decided that it would actually find a very, very unusual place to try and cool down.

The unusual place was actually somebody's trainer shoe, And not only was it the trainer shoe itself,

it was actually the little loop at the back that you used to kind of pull your shoes on. And the

worst part was the lady who actually owned the trainer shoe was still wearing it at the time. And now

let me back it up a little bit here, John, to explain how this all came about. This lady was

enjoying a Christmas break.

She was geocaching, which is kind of like an orientering style of game where you get GPS coordinates

and you effectively find waypoint markers around in public areas. So she was happily doing this
