Hey everyone, welcome back to seeking witchcraft. I'm your host Ashley and today we're diving into a really timely and fascinating topic, which is the connection between witchcraft and politics because witchcraft is political.

Joining us is witch reverend and activist Ron Padron of White Rose witching to discuss this topic. So Ron, thank you so much for returning again and for being here.

And yeah, I'm so excited to have you back. Yeah, thanks. Thanks for having me back. This is, you know,

I feel like it's always a timely topic to talk about sort of politics and witchcraft. I wish it was a less turbulent time to be talking about it.

Same. But yeah, but I think, you know, because of all that, I think it is a really necessary

conversation. So I appreciate you having me back to have the conversation. Oh, of course.

And so for those who have not listened to your previous

episode, could you start with just a little bit of background about yourself? Yeah. So I am a,

I identify as a gay, Cuban, American, disabled, you know, first generation hedge priest. I,

my background is, so I'm ordained through sacred wall congregation, hence the Reverend title.

But I've been practicing pagan for, man, almost 20 years, maybe a little over 20 years at this point.

And over the last decade or so, my practice has really started to dive more deeply into things like spiritual activism, centering my queerness.

So it's been a real healing journey for myself.

So queer-centered and queer affirming spirituality, particularly around queer ancestor

veneration, which is really how White Rose Witching got its start.

And just more and more just following that thread, especially that sort of queer ancestor legacy thread,

has just led me more and more that activist and advocacy space.

And White Rose Witching is the vehicle or the container I use to kind of house all of those

projects or all of those writings or workshops or things that I do.
