0:00.0	Hey everyone, welcome back to seeking witchcraft. I'm your host Ashley and today we're diving into a really timely and fascinating topic, which is the connection between witchcraft and politics because witchcraft is political.
0:14.4	Joining us is witch reverend and activist Ron Padron of White Rose witching to discuss this topic. So Ron, thank you so much for returning again and for being here.
0:23.7	And yeah, I'm so excited to have you back. Yeah, thanks. Thanks for having me back. This is, you know,
0:30.7	I feel like it's always a timely topic to talk about sort of politics and witchcraft. I wish it was a less turbulent time to be talking about it.
0:40.3	Same. But yeah, but I think, you know, because of all that, I think it is a really necessary
0:46.9	conversation. So I appreciate you having me back to have the conversation. Oh, of course.
0:52.5	And so for those who have not listened to your previous
0:54.9	episode, could you start with just a little bit of background about yourself? Yeah. So I am a,
1:01.5	I identify as a gay, Cuban, American, disabled, you know, first generation hedge priest. I,
1:16.0	my background is, so I'm ordained through sacred wall congregation, hence the Reverend title.
1:24.6	But I've been practicing pagan for, man, almost 20 years, maybe a little over 20 years at this point.
1:31.4	And over the last decade or so, my practice has really started to dive more deeply into things like spiritual activism, centering my queerness.
1:35.4	So it's been a real healing journey for myself.
1:37.3	So queer-centered and queer affirming spirituality, particularly around queer ancestor
1:42.9	veneration, which is really how White Rose Witching got its start.
1:47.6	And just more and more just following that thread, especially that sort of queer ancestor legacy thread,
1:53.5	has just led me more and more that activist and advocacy space.
1:57.3	And White Rose Witching is the vehicle or the container I use to kind of house all of those
2:03.0	projects or all of those writings or workshops or things that I do.
