Because tonight, we are finally exploring tales from the great outdoors.

So it's on the most magical of nights, the evening when the veil is at its thinnest, the time

when things begin to wither and die.

The night of Sowan, All Hallows Eve, the night of Halloween.

And I thought tonight would be a great night for a special episode.

And why not do a special episode on a place where a lot of our nightmares originate?

The wilderness, the wild, the backcountry,

the outdoors. That's right, tonight's Halloween special episode is the long-promised

outdoorsman slash outdoors women special. And let me tell you, the submitters did not disappoint. So to kick off this

great outdoors episode on Halloween night, no less, we begin in my state of California.
