We've grown up surrounded by beauty ideals that promised confidence, but often delivered shame.

I cannot stomach train announcers who try to be funny.

0:51.4

I think I judge each case on its own individual merit. I know what you mean. But occasionally they are good. Yeah. I've got... Okay. All right, man, that was quite good. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I don't like it. I don't want it. No. I disagree with it on a philosophical and spiritual level. Yeah. You're like, you've got one job, do it. But I don't even want them to have that job. I don't even think you should be announcing anything on a train. And sometimes they speak for too long. Like I was on one from Kings Cross to Newcastle one time. And the guy would just, he would do an announcement. And then he would announce that the food cart was going to come through first clock, and then he was going to announce that the shop was over. And it just, every few seconds, there was an announcement. And it's like, it was just, just, I wanted to get one of those things that break glass and just throw myself off 130 mile per hour moving train, because I couldn't, I can't bear it. And then they try to be funny. They try to have a little joke.

So we got delayed for 10 minutes.

1:55.5

And then the guy went,

1:56.5

it seems that the driver's being able to get us through some sort of time vortex

1:59.9

because we've got back on arrival time. It's like, no, you're just allowed to go faster, which why can't

2:07.3

you do that in the first case anyway? Yeah, yeah, good point. Yeah, good point. We haven't gone

2:11.5

from a time vortex. It just, I was fucking furious. It's not funny. It's not cute.

2:20.2

I'm there on a train that's going to be delayed going somewhere.

2:23.1

I think there's a time and a place.

2:24.0

That's inappropriate.

2:25.4

It's like, mate, not now.

2:28.4

We're all fucking stressed out of our heads and late.

2:33.7

But I mean, just on a normal sort of day, just a little bit of like, yeah. Sometimes on the underground you'll get,
