And as she said, yeah, we've come a long way from the beginning of this podcast. And now we are

recording virtually on the internet with mics and more professionalism than I definitely had recording on my iPhone

success back in the day. What a time to be alive, man. Well, today, an honor of spooky season,

and we're recording in the first week of October, we are going to discuss all things related to

Ouija boards.

Ooh.

Yes.

So I guess the first question is for Arlie and I guess anybody listening is what is a

Ouija board?

Is it this evil demonic thing that all of the movies and TV shows tell us?

Like what exactly is this that we're

talking about? Yeah, so it's a piece of what that talks to you. No, I'm kidding.

So in its simplest definition, a Ouija board is a board with a full alphabet and numbers

ranging from zero to nine that suggests communication with the paranormal,

supernatural, or even preternatural.

Before its patent, these were commonly referred to as talking boards.

The communication that you receive is guided by what's called a planchette, which is an object

made of light material that is typically a pyramid-shaped object with a small circular glass or plastic window that allows participants to view the specific letters and numbers of the board is attempting to convey as a response to the participants' questions.
