We arrived home Friday night, like 11 something PM. It was Friday night, right? Yeah.

From our trip and all in one piece, that Smooch, Ellie, did great in the car. She was

such a champ in the car. She was so good and we successfully, because I understand this

is a big parenting thing, transitioned her from sleeping in her car seat to sleeping

in her crib with very little fuss. I wish that you could have seen what I did to get

her in there, because Jeff was entertaining the dogs. So they went up bark at her and

I threw a blanket over her car seat. Took her upstairs, turned the noise maker, like she

had a little portable noise maker. I turned her room noise maker on, turned the other

one off, carefully undid the car seat straps. Took her out of the car seat, immediately put

her next to me. So she would still feel like balled up or whatever, put her into her crib

silence. It was awesome. Did she cry or fuss at all? No, she didn't even notice. It was

the best. I feel like that's a gold medal performance based on what we know from Katie

and from other parents about the, about protecting the car seat nap. Yes. Like once that happened.

The other thing that was wild about Friday night is in a weird, continuing the freaky

Friday switch a room between Kelly and I. I came in and pretty quickly kind of dozed

off on the couch and Kelly unpacked everything. A lot of stuff and started laundry.
