Welcome back to another episode of Mother Mary Cebu podcast. Today I have on my daughter,

Amaris. I mean, she's not, I didn't give birth to her. She's actually back at her parents' house

in Florida right now, but she is my friend. We have a generational friendship and intergenerational

friendship, and I love her very much. For today's movie, I decided we had to do a mother-daughter movie

and some of the choices on the lifetime movie club were probably better choices than the one we

wound up going with, but we decided party mom was the movie for us. Amaris, hi, how are you my love?

I'm really good. I'm excited to talk about this train right. I mean, I have to tell you,

this truly is probably one of the worst movies we've ever done. Really? I was so, like, I don't know

what the bar is. I haven't really seen a lifetime movie in a really long time, but I was like,

oh my god. Yeah, so this is like one of those movies that was made around 2018, which is when I

think they were pumping out a lot of lifetime movies really fast, same with like 2019. It seemed like

they were just in a race to get a lot of content out, and some of these movies definitely suffer

because of that, but this movie in particular, I mean, it has a 4.8 on IMDB, which, as we know,

like the lifetime movies we tend to watch, like range between like a five and a six usually,

so this is even low for that. And I'll just read this IMDB review without spoilers, because it summarizes

what's going on with this movie perfectly. Plot holes big enough to drive a 30-minute episode

of Althru. Christa Allen is fantastic as the party mom, but it's not enough to save this one.

The story idea was really good, but the presentation was not. The whole thing seems to hastily put

together, and there are a few plot holes big enough to drive a 30-minute episode of Althru.

Some key points, some key parts of the cast seem pretty much asleep. My standards for made for TV

fair aren't that high, but this one still doesn't make the cut too out of 10. I love that they like

their Alth joke enough to do it. We get two Alth jokes. Yeah, I do agree that. I'm sorry,
