guest today is someone I feel like we've been in each other's internet

universe for some time now.

She's a freelance tech journalist and she picked this movie which I I knew you were going to pick this movie just because

your girl is in it but then I didn't even think of the fact yeah I kind of just like

sent these to you raw dogs sometimes I'll do that I like to surprise

myself sometimes so when I'm sending options to a guest I send maybe like you know

sometimes I go two or three because let's be honest between the two of us I

know the one I want the guests to pick sometimes I'll go wide and I'll go out with five

different genres I'll look at different stars, different time periods of lifetime,

and I knew you were going to pick this because it has your girl Shannon in it.

But what I didn't realize until I watched it is that this is the perfect

fucking movie for you because like in my notes I have like giving me

early Google campus vibes.

Like I'm writing things like that in my notes.

So how thrilled were you?

I have to ask.

I was pretty thrilled, but also just,

I think what it is for this movie it is supposed to take place like around right around the time that I started my career as a tech journalist so I'm like looking at this from oh where was I like 10 years ago I was in my 20s I was doing this what was happening at that time.

It's so weird how that will never leave you by the way like I my last guest on the show was my old boss at Defamer and like the key words are just burnt into my head.

Like they're such a part of my genealogy at this point.
