Hey friends, I am here in Nashville, Tennessee with my good friend, Kristen Getty. Kristen, please introduce yourself to our audience. Thank you, Ruth. So glad to be here. My name's Kristen, as you said, married to Keith. We write hymns and our ambassadors for those hymns, and we also have four little girls. So six boys, four girls. Boy mom, girl, mom. It's fun. That You're going to the church and we can't wait for you to hear our conversation today.

Kristen, I'm seriously so grateful because I have lots of conversations with you in my head that I don't text you because I'm like, you're way too busy.

But, you know, I've been working on this book that is coming out Pilgrim, 25 Ways, God's character leads us onward. And I have been seeing hymns for so long. And since I was a, I'm a piano player. And so I thought I was going to be a concert pianist. We must have had that conversation before. Maybe. I flipped my baby Brin had after four children. I was forgotten. Literally, in eighth grade, my parents were not yet believers, but we started going to this church, and I signed up to be the pianist, the accompanist, and I learned how to play every single hymn in the hymn book and do the intro. And I learned how to add a little

flourishes. And I was just an eighth grader. But I was the church accompanist at the small

little Chinese church from eighth grade until my sophomore year of high school. And so,

Kristen, it's really a full circle for me to be able to write a book that pairs lyrics from hymns that aren't

just, you know, lyrics that I just like, but they're lyrics that teach and remind me of
