Summary

On the Live Well Anyway podcast this week, host MacKenzie Koppa talks about what it is like to be a work at home mom during the summer months with all the kids home. She shares about her current life and what is working for her and her family. Hopefully, even if you don’t work from home or have kids in the same age range, some of her tips will be applicable to you as well! Some of the ideas MacKenzie shares include: involving the kids in deciding on their own daily routines, empowering them to make their own healthy food choices, and getting engaging learning materials for her kids to use throughout the summer.

0:23.0

So join me on this journey as we figure it out together.

0:26.0

And just to get us started, I'll go first.

0:28.6

And today it's a solo show.

0:30.7

It is going to be just me talking to all of you, giving you some of my tips and ideas for

0:36.8

us work at home parents this summer. I always think

0:41.3

that summer is going to be this glorious time when I'm going to get all of this work done, but guess what?

0:45.8

My children are home and it is harder. And so I want to just talk about some of the things that we

0:52.5

are doing or we have done in the past

0:54.8

or we're hoping will help and maybe they will help you as well.

0:59.2

But before we get started, I want to tell you a little bit about what's going on in Patreon

1:03.3

right now.

1:04.4

So we are really embracing this summertime to try to put a lot of habits in place and figure

1:10.7

a lot of things out so that when

1:12.1

fall comes, we are more prepared. We have some of those habits more solidified so that all of the

1:18.1

craziness that comes with fall is a little bit easier. So this week, particularly in Patreon,

1:24.1

we are doing deep dives. I talk a lot about different things like automating your home

1:29.2

and Trello and plan to eat and all of that. And so this week, I am actually taking the daily

1:35.0

lives that I normally do because I actually host a live show in our private Facebook group

1:40.5

every day where we talk about all kinds of different topics and we hang out together

1:44.6

and we have so much fun. But this week, they're a little bit longer episodes and we are really

1:50.1

getting into the nitty gritty of okay. So you are starting with Trello and you find it a little
