together and the only unsolved cold case murder in Carter County we live in was this redheaded girl that

got killed and dumped inside a road. So as we were investigating that I found out that wasn't that unusual in Tennessee in the 80s.

She was in 84, I believe.

So I was looking into that and just stumbled upon the redhead murders.

We don't believe she was part of that, but anyway, this

semester I decided to see if the students would be interested and they were just all over

themselves and I got a good, I'd really do have a good class.

So I said what so we can do with it and so that's what we've been doing this semester.

For the last three months his sociology class has been investigating the Redhead murders.

Two weeks ago he reached out to me after discovering I too have been working on this series of cases

that plagued the Tennessee area over three decades ago. I'm trying to think which of the Jane

does is from your area. The closest one is Greenville. Okay. The Green County Jane

Doe she was found right beside 81, which runs into 40, near Knoxville.

So we're about 30 minutes from there.

That was another thing that made the kids interested

was that they didn't realize a serial killer

was striking so close to where they lived.

That kind of really appealed to them
