Tombstone, Arizona.

The name is synonymous with the Wild West.

It started off as a small encampment that exploded with the discovery of the rich silver deposits that punctuated the landscape.

This encampment was founded by Ed Sheifelin, who noted the striking colors of the Arizona Mountains as he stood in Camp Huachuca.

He mentioned to a soldier that these mountains look promising for prospecting.

The soldier warned him that the area was controlled by the Apache and that all you find in those hills is your tombstone.

Well, he ignored the advice and hid out in the mountains, avoiding the Apache, and pulled some rich

silver ore from the ground. After this find was certified, tombstone was born.

Soon people began to flock to the area in the hopes of striking it rich

and pulling their fortunes from the dusty, unforgiving Arizona soil.

The Boon Town soon gave rise to saloons and gambling, along with brothels, and the growing pains were paid in blood.

Tombstone became the town, too tough to die.
