I can understand how men should come by observation and inference to know a lot about the universe they live in.

If, on the other hand, I swallow the scientific cosmology as a whole, then not only can I not fit in Christianity, but I can't even fit in science.

of CS Lewis. And this season we've been talking about love and we worked our way through

Lewis's book, The Four Loves. And then we had ecumenism month, where we spoke to people from

diverse religious backgrounds who all love Lewis. And we now begin apologetics month,

looking at Lewis's apologetic work.

And I wanted to begin this series today by looking at Lewis's attitude towards science and

scientism.

And I did have a different guest originally lined up to speak on this topic, but I think I've

been ghosted, or at least I haven't had any response to any email for a month or so now.

So we have a last-minute replacement step in to help us guide us through this topic, Dr. John G. West.

Dr. West is vice president and senior fellow at the Seattle-based Discovery Institute,

where he also serves as managing director of the Institute's Center for Science and Culture,

which he co-founded with philosopher of science Stephen Mayer in 1996.

His current research examines the impact of science and scientism on public policy and culture.

His other areas of expertise include constitutional law,
