Andrew and I break down and discuss the works of C.S. Lewis. This season, we're talking about

love, slowly and deliberately working our way through Lewis's book, The Four Loves. And this

month, we've been talking about eros,

romantic love. So today we welcome the co-author of the New York Times bestselling book,

The Meaning of Marriage. You might know her as Timothy Keller's better half, Kathy Keller.

Kathy Keller was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and when she was 12 years old, she

corresponded with someone that you might have heard of, a professor by the name of Clive Staples Lewis. She first received a BA in English,

and then went on to receive a Master of Theological Studies, Sumerunlaude, from Gordon Cornwall Theological Seminary.

This is where she met her future husband, Timothy Keller, and together they have three adult

sons. After graduation, Kathy and Tim helped lead a Presbyterian church in Hopewell, Virginia,

after which they moved to Philadelphia, where Kathy served as an editor at Great Commission

publications. In 1989, the Keller's founded a church I'm sure many of our listeners will

have heard of, Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City.

Besides being a co-founder, Kathy has served in various roles at the church,

such as Assistant Director of Communications and Media.

She is the author of Jesus' Justice and Gender Roals,

and she is the co-author with her husband of the book which we'll be talking about today,
