My name is Eric Peabody, temporarily hosting for Jason Hill and it's my pleasure to bring you tonight's story.

Inspired by the classic tale of Beowulf, author Justin Vinnbell decided to write a Beowulf-like story and character based in modern day.

The story is told from the perspective of an 18-year-old boy who gets a job with the local logging industry.

He and his boss have been sent to work a job in another state that has been deemed hazardous

and thus they have been offered compensation.

The team finds that the woods of the south have much more to offer than lumber

and that the hazard pay can't compensate enough for the terror they will face.
