Hey everyone. Welcome back to Seeking Witchcraft. I'm your host, Ashley, and today I have on a special guest, Catherine, owner of the Quadrubium Supplies, a handmade ritual oil website. Today, Catherine is going to talk to us about all things oils, including how to make them for yourself. So Catherine, thank you so much for coming on. Can you introduce yourself to the listeners?

Oh, thanks so much for having me. My name is Catherine. I'm from Chicago. I have been practicing

some form of magic for about 30 years. I started early on in my 20s. You can do the math on that one.

And I started making oils when I realized that the ones that I was using

were making me sneeze. So I ended up learning how to make my own. And about 12 years ago,

I developed it into a business. Awesome. You know, one of my favorite things to do pre-Ritual

is douse myself in ritual oil.

I have this one oil that I don't even know exactly what it's made out of, but I call it

like the witchcraft oil.

It just smells so magical and amazing.

And I went back to the store.

I bought it from to buy more of it.

And unfortunately, they diluted it.

It doesn't smell as good anymore. And I'm like,

dang, I really wish I knew what was in this because I would try to make this myself.

That's one of the things about oils and that's why they're useful is that it's almost like a

shortcut to a very primitive part of our brain. Scent is an extremely strong trigger for us,

where, like you said, it's the witchcraft oil. It's a very quick way to get us into a ritual

headspace or magical space. Eventually, I think you train yourself. When I smell this, I'm ready to do magic.

My focus is on the divine. And that's one of the really useful things about oils is they almost

give us a shortcut. Absolutely. Yeah. I only use this oil when I am about to be in circle or try to connect with my deities that I follow outside of whatever.

And it's very special oil.
