Summary

This week we have old time friend and Grey's anatomy lover Amanda on! She brings great insight and great memories from our youth.

Derek is spending his time back at his trailer after his failed surgery, drinking a lot of beer, and hitting engagement rings with a baseball bat. Bailey sends Callie out to talk to him, but she never returns, so Owen goes out for them, but then he never returns. So, Bailey tells Chief and Chief heads to the woods to say some things. Derek is in the dark place, but not as dark as Izzie.

Izzie is teaching the interns how to diagnose a patient, with scans from patient X. It turns out that patient X is actually her, and she has a pretty terrible diagnosis. Izzie confides in Cristina in the blowy room, and after Izzie refuses treatment, Cristina drops the news on Alex...in the O.R. right before surgery.

Owen and Cristina are flirting and floating along, but we know that shit is about to get messy for them when she wakes him up and he shoves her against a wall cutting her arm open. Obviously it was an accident.
