We are, I promise, going to be talking about some of the positives of Welsh Rugby in 2021.

There has been plenty to celebrate, not least Cardiff's fortnight of European rugby.

We'll get on to that with Nicky Robinson and Gareth Griffiths in a minute, but overnight, another huge blow for sporting

Wales for rugby and Wales and spectators we know now will be banned from

all sport events and Wales from boxing day and to try to control the spread of the new

variant. I'll start with the rugby reporter Gareth Griffith. Garrett, this is not the news

we were expecting to be talking about on the final podcast of the year.

No we thought all this was behind us and now this time last year, games behind closed doors

but the last, the events of the last, well I suppose, month from when Cardiff and Scarlet's got caught in

South Africa is just sort of everything is sort of snowballed, isn't it? And now we've got the prospect of a

Boxing Day Derby at the Arms park with no fans Cardiff against

scarlets from Cardiff were almost sold out.

Obviously we'll talk about the Osceage Dragons later that game is off anyway
