Summary
In this episode Kerry helps us understand the background of the Flood by helping us understand more about who Noah is. He also explains some crucial phrases that open up understanding the text, such as what it means for Noah to be perfect in his generation. Then Kerry guides a roundtable discussion through the idea of violence in the Old Testament and how it helps us understand elements of the Flood story. They also use the Book of Moses to understand it better. Then Kerry explores biblical phrases and how knowing what they mean opens windows into the text. Then he explains more about what is happening during Noah’s day and why the flood was necessary and how understanding it correctly helps us understand the nature of God.
