Hey, welcome back to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace.

0:08.1

We hope that you are subscribed or following

0:10.8

so that you can stick with us all year long

0:13.1

as we walk through scripture.

0:14.6

Today we're wrapping up the book of Second Chronicles

0:16.8

with chapters 34 through 36.

0:19.9

Scott, what happens in today's chapters? There's a lot that happens

0:22.8

in these chapters, shall we? A lot that happens in these chapters. Love to hear it. Favorite phrase.

0:27.1

Yeah, we get to King Josiah today. He's a great king, the last great king of the Southern Kingdom of

0:32.7

Judah. And he's devoted to worship. He's devoted to the temple. He rids the land of idols. He repairs the temple. 1:17.2

1:23.0

because he realizes just how far his kingdom has turned from the Lord. And so he ramps up his reforms

1:29.4

even more so. He has the law read to all the people who commit to obeying it. You have this

1:35.4

prophet Holda who assures him that because he loves the Lord, disaster won't strike during

1:40.2

Josiah's day, but it will strike as the rest of Second Chronicles shows us.

1:44.6

Yeah, so as we keep going through today's reading, Josiah is followed by several other kings

1:50.5

who, you know, aren't necessarily glowing examples for us. And then we eventually see that the
