Welcome, everyone. Pines for Jack is your weekly CS Lewis podcast, where Matt, Andrew and I

break down and discuss the works of C.S. Lewis.

This season thus far, we've eavesdropped on the correspondence of

screw tape, and we've listened to his toast to the tempters college. However, now we're

halfway through Narnia Month, and in previous weeks we've read and we've discussed the chronicle

for this season, the Silver Chair, and we've spoken to various authors about Narnia. But today,

we're going to be looking at how

the Narniad can function as pre-evangelism for a post-Christian world. And to help us unpack that,

is the author of the book with that very title. Dr. Brian Williams. And Dr. Brian Williams has taught

courses in the history of ideas and philosophy as an adjunct professor

at the college at Southeastern in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is the author of Putting

Together the Pieces, How to Make Sense of the Old Testament, and is published in the top academic

publication, The Journal of Inklinkling Studies. He teaches the Bible weekly and frequently mentors

men to think and live Christianity in all of life.

He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Pierce and Claire, in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

why Narnia might be more real than we think. Dr. Williams, welcome

to Pines for Jack. Hey, David, thanks for having me. Grateful to be here. Now, you first came on my

radar when you appeared on Michael Jahoski's podcast, Mythic Mission. And I enjoyed that interview,

so I looked at your book on Amazon and saw that it was endorsed by two people who have previously been on this show, Dr. Louis Marcos and Owen Barfield, the grandson of the inkling.
