Pints with Jack is your weekly CS-Lews podcast where Matt and I break down and discuss the works of C.S.

This season thus far, we've eavesdropped on the correspondence of screw tape,

and we've listened to his toast to the Temptors Training College. However, we're now in the

middle of Narnia Month. In previous weeks, we've discussed this season's Assigned Chronicle,

which is the Silver Chair. And today we have a returning guest to the show, who came on

earlier this season to talk about

a biography which he'd written of Lewis called A Life Observed.

His name is Dr. Devin Brown.

It doesn't matter if you forget it.

Now, in case you didn't listen to that earlier episode, here is a little bit about Dr. Brown.

Dr. Devin Brown is a Lilly

scholar and professor of English at Asbury University, where in addition to other literature

classes, he teaches a course on Lewis and Tolkien. He has a PhD from the University of

South Carolina and a master's degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Brown is the author of a number

of books on Narnia called Inside Narnia, which is about The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Inside Prince Caspian,

and Inside the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, as well as the book, which we're going to be discussing

today, inside the silver chair. Dr. Brown, welcome back to Pines for Jack. Thanks so much. It's great to be back.

Now, since I last spoke to you, I've bought a house in Wisconsin and begun planning our move there at the end of the summer.
