Levi, Ivy, did you two wash your hands after playing at the playground?

Called Levi and Ivy's mom from the kitchen.

Levi sat on the couch holding a giant chocolate chip cookie with his unwashed hands.

They were covered with the dusting of dirt that he quickly wiped on his shorts before his mom walked into the living room.

And Ivy was sitting right next to him enjoying a big bowl of potato chips.

Also with her unwashed hands.

Kiddos, what have I told you about washing your hands before you pick up food to eat?' asked Levi and Ivy's mom. "'You said we need to wash our hands after a plain and public spaces "'so we don't put germs into our bodies,' said Levi and Ivy together. "'They had their mom's little speech memorized "'because she had recited it to them so many times in the last couple of weeks. "'So if that's the case, you'd think they'd remember to wash their hands?
